Zero Tolerance
Policy

Our commitment to a safe, respectful environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Pont Steffan Dental is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for our patients, visitors and staff. We take it very seriously if a member of staff is treated in an abusive or violent way, and we ask everyone visiting the practice to treat our team with the same courtesy and respect we aim to show every patient. Our full Zero Tolerance Policy is available to download below.

What this policy covers

This policy covers instances of violence, aggression or harassment by any person — whether an attending patient, their relatives, any visitor to our practice, or a member of our staff — towards any patient, relative, visitor or member of staff. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal abuse, shouting, or aggressive behaviour in person or over the phone
  • Threatening, intimidating or offensive language or actions
  • Persistent or excessive contact via phone calls, voicemails, emails or text messages that causes distress, disrupts the running of the practice, or is considered unreasonable
  • Unwanted personal remarks, discriminatory comments, or inappropriate advances
  • Attempts to harass or pressure staff for appointments, prescriptions, or other services outside of normal procedures

This policy applies throughout the practice, including the surrounding streets, and to any employee or associate away from the practice premises where it relates to the business.

Our commitment

The practice re-affirms its commitment to do everything possible to protect staff, patients and visitors from unacceptable behaviour, and its zero tolerance of any incident that causes hurt, alarm, damage or distress.
