New Patients

Our welcoming reception team will always endeavour to arrange your New Patient Exam at a convenient time to suit you. During your first visit with us we ask you to arrive a little early in order to fill out a Medical History and Dental Health form. If it is more convenient for you, these forms are available below for download. You can then print and fill these in prior to your appointment.

After meeting our reception team, you will meet one of our dentists and nurses. Your dentist will then discuss with you any concerns you may have about your teeth or just visiting the dentist. After a chat, the dentist will examine your teeth, gums and mouth. Xray's will be taken if suitable, but no treatment will be given at this appointment.

Your dentist will then discuss with yourself if you need any work doing and the best plan of action with options to suit your needs. A treatment plan will be given to you, this will include the prices of any treatments involved. You will also be given advice for you to do at home to keep your oral health in tip top condition. We want you as our patient to only make informed decisions without feeling pressured.

Dental Emergencies

If you have a dental emergency such as tooth pain, swellings, lost crowns and fillings please don't hesitate to contact us. At Pont Steffan we set aside surgery time everyday to cater for any dental emergencies, although priority is given to our registered patients. If you are not registered with us, we will still endeavour to see you as soon as possible and try to get you out of pain.

Cancellation Policy

There will be no charge for cancellation of appointments so long as we receive at least at least 1 working days notice. This gives us the opportunity to grant others access to our services who may need to see us more urgently. However, because of an increase number of missed appointments or short notice cancellations we are now having to charge a £20 fee per 15 minutes for missed appointments and late cancellations.

Payment Terms

We ask patients to pay for treatment they have received at the end of each appointment. This can be made by cash, cheque (with a bankers card), Visa, MasterCard, Visa Delta and American Express.
